British Airways in United States is well connected with many countries and they offer discounts and membership plans throughout the year.
One of the best advantages is the reward points that a flyer gets when he or she travels by way of British Airways. This plan allows its members to convert the miles that they have travelled into points. Later, the points can be used to travel to 650 destinations that are connected by British Airways. Apart from flying, the British Airways also allows its members to use the collected point against car rental, hotel and for usage of partner airlines.
Depending on the frequency of travelling, different members get different benefits. The point distribution system is as follows: -
- Blue – this is the starting point of frequent flyer program. This customer will get priority in the seats that he or she can choose while travelling.
- Silver – Silver member is the person who has earned 400 points and have taken at least 4 British Airways flight or who has taken more than 50 flights. This customer gets 1.25 points for every 1 mile they fly by way of British Airways.
- Gold – Gold member is the person who has more than 800 points and has taken at least 4 flights at British Airways. This customer gets 1.5 points for every 1 mile he or she travels.
This point system of British Airways is applicable not only to individuals; it can also be used by companies and the only clause attached to this is that minimum of five employees should have flown by British Airways.
